Hey I'm Chris from Northern Indiana. Just picked up my first smoker today,an off set char broil professional. I was looking at the webber smokey mountain but this was 100 bucks cheaper and heard people complain about the bullet type smokers because of access to the lower meat rack. Is the smoker I purchased any good? Well anyways since I'm new to all this I hope to pick up some good tips from all you veteran smokers! I've been hooked ever since I watched Pitt masters on Netflix even though I've never smoked anything ha ha.

Thanks for the welcome. I live in florida and am trying my hand for the first time at smoking. I bought a char griller with offset. I hope I don't ruin to much food trying to get it down. Lol

Welcome to SMF! If you put the model of your smoker in the handy search bar you'll most likely find more info on it. Chances are there are mods others have done and posted to make your unit run more efficiently. Hints, tips, and secrets should be there also.

Thanks for the tip. I already grabbed a tube of high temp food grade silicone haha.
