So, maybe I'm just behind the times however I did something today that worked amazingly well. Instead of wrapping y butts in foil to rest , I simply slipped them in a roasting bag, tied it tight, wrapped them in a towel and popped them into the cooler...I got exactly the same results as of I'd wrapped them in foil but was able to seal them up to rest in far less time than using foil and retained absolutely all the juices.
It's a trade off I guess between time and cost. I did however find good quality bags on Amazon for less than a buck each...
It might be something to consider if youre smoking.multiple hunks-butt

Good to know!

Thank-you!

I wonder how it would work instead of foiling in a cook.

I have 4 butts going in late tomorrow. Since the bags are good for 400 degrees I think I will try it on one on the top rack and let you know.

Tried the bags over the weekend and they worked great.

Try doing this with a 200 degree foil wrapped butt!
I did a tray, wrapped in foil, and the bags to test end results and found no difference in taste or texture. No runs, drips or errors with the bags and will be using again in the future.
