I couldn't think of a better way to start the new year than to smoke something! So here's to 2026!
Let's start with 2 slabs of baby back ribs. Quick rinse, membrane removed, nice layer of mustard with a thin layers of Killer Hogs AP rub, followed with a thin layer of Heath Riles Honey rub, with a nice thin pass of Killer Hogs BBQ rub. Into the Yoder set @ 230° with 100% Hickory & Cherry pellets. Roll smoke for about 4 hours
after the 4 hour mark I decided to do a wrap in foil with unsalted butter and brown sugar - 1 hour wrapped then opened up to the foil boat for about 30 minutes - I glazed one with the butter & brown sugar and the other with Heath Riles Cherry habanero glaze.
Money Shot!
Nothing better than all the lucky comfort foods to start the new year!
Black eyed peas, cornbread, fried cabbage & fried taters!
Happy 2026 Smoking Meat Forum!
Hope everyone has a prosperous, wonderful new year!
