Ribeye Leftovers (Includes My Surf & Turf Mix)

So I had some leftovers from the two Ribeyes I made a few days ago, and found good uses for them.
The next day I cut a few slices off of the one so I could have some with my Morning Eggs.

But then the next night I decided on something different—> A “Surf & Turf Mix” Sautéed in Butter in a Pan.
So I cut up the rest of the Ribeye & set that aside. Then I cut up a pack of Imitation Crabmeat.
I spread the Imitation Crabmeat out in a Buttery Pan & Sautéed it until it started turning slightly browned.
Then I removed that from the Pan & put the little Ribeye pieces in, and flipped them around in the Pan.
Once they got done to my liking, I dropped the Imitation Crabmeat back in & mixed it with the Ribeye pieces.
I just flipped it all around a few times until it was nice & hot, and dumped it all on my plate!
Twas just like Heaven on a plate!

Thanks for the Visit,
Bear

Bear Food Indeed Looks great Nice job my friend

Looks good. How do you like those copper pans? Getting close to being in the market for a new set.

Thanks James!
We never bought expensive Frying Pans, but that Copper colored Pan is easily the best we ever had.
And for only $20.

That got my mouth watering - I'd not thought of mixing beef with seafood in the same pan chunked up like that.

Thank You Pete!!
I try a lot of things like this, and this one is has been one of my favorites.
They go Great together.

Looks Great!
And for the record, you have just the right amount of pepper on those eggs, too. ;)

I'm going to look into that artificial crab meat to see if I can eat it. I'm not supposed to eat shellfish.
But I love crab. :(

If you can eat fish, then you can eat the artificial crab meat. Can't remember what kind of fish they use to make it, but that's what it is--fish. I ate a lot of crab while I was commercial fishing, and this is actually quite close in flavor.

Yeah, I checked it out Gary. Surimi, a kind of white fish.
I've eaten both real and the Artificial crab before. Just wasn't sure about the cholesterol levels.
That appears to be no problem.
I'm only allergic to two things, cold water, and cholesterol. :p:D

I've got tons of real Dungi crab meat in the freezer. Sounds like a winner when letting some of it move into a skillet with some juicy steak. Yummmm! But for a nice visual, going with imitation crab meat might be the way to go for the chunks of meat will remain bigger while in the pan as compared to the real stuff which seems to break down after being heated up. For now, maybe I need to go and get a couple rib eyes.

Looks good John. It never occurred to me either to chop up the meat and cook it together with the seafood. Great idea.
Sure worth a POINT from me.
Gary

Thank You Gary!!
This is definitely one of the strange concoctions that I have tried that became a regular treat.

That "Couple Ribeyes" sounds like a plan!!
And I think you're right about the sizes----Big Imitation chunks are great for my Surf & Turf Mix, but the smaller Real Crab pieces are Much better in Crab Patties.
