Let's be honest you didn't click on this topic to read what I had to say...
But if you did...
I'm entered in the 5th Annual Sullivan Hardware Anniversary Cookoff tomorrow here in Indy.
I came in 3rd 2 years ago and had a blast. I did it last year and tanked miserably cause I tried a recipe for the first time...never do that...ever. We had a blast that year though so I had to come back!
It's a grilling competition not really a smokin' competition but I'm doing ribs on a Weber kettle.
The handsome young man in the last picture is my pitmaster for tomorrow.
We're doing 3 racks of spare ribs St. Louis cut and the rib tips. The rub is an eyeballed concoction that just tasted yummy. I always taste my rub before I put it on the meat. If it tastes bad on my finger its going to taste bad on my meat. So to speak.
I'm going to do my best to update this thread when we get there.
Luckily we get to prep our food before hand.
Wish me luck!
