Walking Dude thought it odd that I put a bean or a piece of pickled okra on my skewer when making a bloody mary.

I've had everything from lemon, lime, green olive, black olive, gulf shrimp and even salami and cheese served to me with a Bloody at several establishments across the country.

Anyone else? How bout the celery salted rim to the glass? These things have become the new breakfast as far as I"m concerned, and I try to get one if I can every Sunday. lol With a big breakfast on the side of course.

MMMM blue cheese stuffed olives, one of my favorites, and I had forgotten about the pearl onions...

Now an even bigger controversy, the mix......I like V-8, some like tomatoe juice, some like Clamato..........I've got a friend that insists on horseradish verses tabasco and some add a touch of prepared mustard...........

See what I mean? These things can become a meal real quick or at least require the attention a meal can. I'm for sure going to offer a monster version of these in the restaurant at some point.....

5.00 a whack in a huge hurricaine glass.

One of these Sundays we're going to set up a bloody mary bar at the VFW. Come up to the bar tender and get your glass with ice and shot of wodka. We have a portable salad bar where we will have plain tomato juice, clamato, beefamato, and tabasco tomato juice. Accutraments will be along the lines of horseradish, worcestershire, celery seed, hot sauces (of varying heat), bitters, blue cheese stuffed olives, regular olives, pickle spears, lemons, limes, oranges, and anything else that comes up when we're putting it out....

Shell,

Don't forget to have that bartender salt the rim of the glass with a lemon or lime before he sends it out there.....

Let me know when this is going to happen, sounds like it might be worth a road trip....lol

OK...Shhhh!

Quart of spicy V-8
Quart of Clamato
2 Tbsp chopped dehydrated onion, ground down justa bit finer
2 Tbsp CBP
1 Tbsp Celery salt
1 Tbsp powered mustard
1 Tbsp paprika
1/2 Tbsp cumin
2 Beef bullion cubes
1 Tspn anchovy paste or 2 fresh fillets
Worchester sauce to taste
OH! 2 TBSP HORSERADISH! Sheesh...sorry, forgot that!

Sometimes, a bottle of Haacker Pshorr Hefe-wisen beer.

Mix all dry ingredients with a cup or so of either liquid ingredient and bring to a low simmer for a few min.
Dump all together and let react for a day before serving

Crushed red, Franks, and other stuff to taste too- I never really make the same batch, but this seems to be the core.

Darn..now I gotta kill ya all! grin...ENJOY!
