I'm starting this thread because I was approached by a guy in a grocery parking lot. At first I thought he might be a panhandler, but he was carrying a box. Turns out he was with Hummer & Son, a Louisiana honey producer who is trying to break into the Ohio market. I bought a bottle of their raw unfiltered honey, and a bottle of their bbq sauce which uses their honey instead of refined sugar.
Honey is the second ingredient after tomatoes. It also has molasses, which gives it a dark flavor, and pepper which gives it a nice kick. There's some hickory smoke flavor in the background.
Jeff said it was OK to put in a plug for them, just don't link to them. So with that as a rule, tell us about sauces you've found.
