Ready for Winter??? No these aren’t for smoking!!!

Last year I started with 2 tons of Premium Pellets, and didn’t make it anywhere close to the end of Winter.

So this time I’ll start with 3 tons. (Total cost $722)
Having the extra ton might get us through, plus there’s no way this coming Winter can be as cold as last Winter was!!!

So I’ll start with the 2 tons that are stacked on the right, close to my Living Room door. Then when they’re used up, I’ll get the ton on the pallet stacked on the right for more easy access.

Yes Mrs Bear’s Jalopy still fits right between the pellets!!

Bear

About 2 tons on the right & one ton on the left:

I am going for coal tomorrow.

They say another cold on coming.

Preparation is the key and it looks you're on top of things. I'm starting to batten down the hatches here in the PNW for the coming deluges as well. Fortunately, for me, I don't have to deal with your Pa storms but having been born & raised in NY I well remember what they are like.....LOL. Looks like you'll be warm & toasty.....carry on......Willie

Looks like you will be warm for a while. Have you checked to see if the pellets are food grade? I have called the number on the bags of a few different brands. Only to find out that they are. The reason they don't have it on the package is because of the FDA.

I heat with wood. I unloaded a trailer of wood earlier this week. I figure about 10 ricks a year. My fireplace is duct threw out the house. I am a short sleeve year round kinda guy.

Happy smoken.

13 cords of red oak ready to go! I used 18 last winter but I'm heating a 3000 sq. ft. garage and the house and domestic hot water. Snow is in the forecast for tonight and tomorrow.

Oh I am ready for WINTER!!!!   I am prepared for when those nights dip into the 40's  brrrrrrrrrr

lol.....You're a funny guy.....having lived in Calif for about a third of my life I agree.....those California winters can be HARSE, so yeah....some good bourbon or a couple drams of Crown to sip on really takes away that chill.......Willie

I'll be sitting around the fire pit in my shorts drinking some brews thinking about you poor snow shovelers

I am SO ready for winter!!! Today is a typical winter day here: 78 degrees and not a cloud in the sky. I'm stocked up on sunscreen and surf wax! I have enough fire wood for the two days a year I actually have to light my fireplace.

What's the highlight of winter? High school soccer season!!! My daughter's high school is looking to defend their state championship:

Let's do this...

This Winter better not be as cold as last year. I don't think my Leyland Cypress can take two years in a row like that !!!

Yup----It was in October a couple years ago that we had an early freak Big Snow that tore limbs & trees down like crazy around here, and knocked our electric out for 6 days!!!

I got a good Honda Generator now, and that thing can power all my fridges & freezers, my Pellet Stove, TV, and my lights. That's all the important things.

What flavor pellets are those Bear, apple, cherry, pecan? :)
I don't know Case----I call it "Heat".

I never checked, figuring it wouldn't be good to use them in my AMNPS.

I sold my Lopi Liberty Woodstove, when I got this pellet stove. It must have been a good price. The guy who bought it drove all the way from above Thunder Bay, in Canada to get it & drove home with it.

Yeah definitely need to be prepared for this winter. Looking to have a lot of snow with the way its been raining. Doesn't 1 inch of rain equate to 8 inches of snow? If it does its gonna be a rough one.

Looks like that's the thing to do tomorrow. Going to go try to pick up 3 tons. Hopefully that's enough to get me through to spring.

Last year when it was below zero outside, I had to open windows to cool the house down...

Say what they will about being a ditry fuel, there's nothing else like anthracite heat!

We are not ready yet. Only have about 1/2 cord of wood. Going to get a bunch tomorrow. Have a buddy that has oak down on his property and has been for 2-3 years so it should be nice and dry. Will be splitting like a mad man to get it done.
