To each his own!I tried it a few years ago when I spotted it either in Kroger or Harris Teeter. Really not sure what all the buzz is about.
It's nothing special on it's own. Did you prepare it correctly? Browned with egg and cheese on roll. I expected to be the same but ended up really liking it. That surprised me. That said, I found better stuff/cheaper.Really not sure what all the buzz is about.
I also like Case and Shop-Rite brands. I always recommend tasting it on its own before making a final determination. It's nothing special on it's own. Did you prepare it correctly? 30m from there's an Amish meat market and they sell their own pork roll and it's KILLER and CHEAP. The pic is not the place place but looks EXACTLY like it and quite a bit darker than Taylor. $3.99/lb last I got it. Pretty sure it's got some beef in there. Their garlic bologna (all beef) is the BOMB. They also sell Lebanon bologna which is even darker and smokier with same spice profile and ferment like pork roll. Pretty sure it's ALL beef.

I introduced it to some Army friends years ago in sandwich form, but they immediately added mustard!
Newswanger? Planktowns porkroll is awesome tooIt's nothing special on it's own. Did you prepare it correctly? Browned with egg and cheese on roll. I expected to be the same but ended up really liking it. That surprised me. That said, I found better stuff/cheaper.

Yup. That's why I mentioned Case and Shop-Rite!Pork Roll !
Taylor is just a brand name !
My sisters' husband loves it, they moved to Maine, It does not exist there!
They load up when here in NJ.
My Dad ,s Tavern it was on the menu.
FYI: When cooking make sure to cut slits on the sides inwards and a Cross cut in the middle, it prevents curling of the meat.
Shop Rite has Mild and spicey flavors
American Cheese with Ketchup ,is my go to, grilled or pan fried. On a burger roll.
Some make Egg sammies and a few add to a burger.
YUM!!!
Mmmm
Looks great! I just thought it funny they put mustard on before even tasting it for the first time!
Correctly is purely subjective, but I love me a fried bologna/egg/cheese sammich on a dollar store burger bun at various roadside Virginia country gas stations, so who's to say? It's nothing special on it's own. Truly! To each his own!
I had this exact sandwich this morning for breakfast. Homemade bologna, extra sharp cheddar, egg, Duke's and a little yellow mustard...I love me a fried bologna/egg/cheese sammich on a dollar store burger bun
YEP!Newswanger?
It is definitely an acquired or comfort food taste. I like SPAM better and not really a big fan of SPAM.
Mmmm
Dried Beef
That is my comfort food taste.
Great point and wrong word choice for sure.Correctly is purely subjective, but I love me a fried bologna/egg/cheese sammich on a dollar store burger bun at various roadside Virginia country gas stations, so who's to say?
