Please Advise What Species Wood To Use in a RF Shirley 60Inch Smoker

I have red oak, post oak, hickory, sweet gum, birch, ash, cottonwood and a few other species on my farm.   Can these be mixed.........I am new to this so please help.

I use red and white oak almost exclusively. It's not too strong, and not too mild. Just make sure it is completely dried.

I like Hickory, Pecan. Oak, and most all fruit woods,, Mesquite is good but is strong,

Yes you can mix them. Try a few different variations and see what you like.

Cottonwood is a very mild wood in regards to flavor. I use it mainly as the heat source and use hickory and/or any of the fruit tree woods for flavor.
