I'm not the genius, if I were this wouldn't have happened to begin with...

I forgot that I had some pics on my SD card I wanted to save.
Was adding a few programs on it and for one of them the folder needed to be all by its lonesome so it would be properly recognized when loading so of course I needed to format (don't ask what I was doing

), click-little bar fills and card is formatted and of course right then is when I remembered there were pictures on it I didn't save.

Figured I would see what programs were out there for recovering photos, came across "Photo Recovery Genius 1.3" and it sounded promising so I gave it a shot.

Not only did it recover all of the 20 something ones I had on there but it recovered over 100 pics, some that were from months ago.

Just wanted to give the program a plug because it did a better than expected job and that is rare these days.

That's great FIU. I wonder that would work for a hard drive. Me neighbor's daughter was formatting a cd (so she thought) and ended up wiping out their hard drive and all the pics that they had on it. Yeah, they know all about backing up the HD but they never get around to doing it.

you can always recover your pictures
as long as they did not overwritten with other pictures

at example
if you format, and you take 10 photographs
the place where that 10 new photgraphs stand,at this place the old photographs are lost
