I'm new the to forum but a long time browser of SMF. I've been a backyard smoker for awhile now and love cooking for the family. 

I'm learning the weld at the moment and should be building a new firebox. I have the Brinkmann Trailmaster offset smoker that has been a champ even with the thin metal but over time I burned out the box. I plan on building the new one with some 3/16" steel. My welder can't handle 1/4" very well. 

Anyways, glad to be here.
