Hello,

first time pellet smoker and first time meat smoker. I have smoked ribs, brisket, turkey, and a pork butt. My smoker refuses to keep the temp that the control board is indicating.

for example:

I set the smoker to 250 and let it go for 30 mins. However the smokers internal temp is 180 and not 250 even though that’s what the smoker control board is indicating. I tested it numerous times with a MEATER+ and a pit boss wireless probe.

I have replaced both the grill probe and the control unit. Help!
Thanks

I'm sorry but 1st line says you never smoked meat ???
Try you meater at the grate level and ramp the temp up to what you want , most of the built in stuff is crap go with what you can trust.
