Finally found a store that sales Tri-Tip here in central PA. A good friend of mine from Cali recommended I try using my open pit so here it goes. Everything seasoned with salt, garlic powder, onion powder and Italian seasoning mix this is my wife friendly rub she has bad food allergies and can’t have pepper along with a lot of other things

In case anyone is wondering I’ve found Tri-Tips at Giant foods grocery store chain. Only place I’ve found them in PA.

Looks great. Amazing how you can spend Thousands on a Smoker/Grill and a simple Pit and some splits will make food just as good!...JJ

I’m glad I’ve never spent thousands on a smoker. Heck the 500 gallon tank build didn’t cost me that much. I’d rather spend the thousands on the meat!!

Nailed it! Glad you found the elusive TT in your parts. I am jones'n for some TT bad now
