Oklahoma newbie

I've been wanting a smoker for a LONG time now....Finally got one today. Not letting any grass grow here, Sunday will be my first "smoke day". It's a Masterbuilt gas smokehouse. Don't hate me for going gas....we have a very busy lifestyle with the kids. After much research I felt this was the best fit for me...for now.

Any suggestions or tips are always welcome.

I've been reading on SMF for some time and now I get to join in with the new "family".

I look forward to it.

Brian I assure you no one is going to hate you for going gas. I my self run a gas rig I have the Master Forge 2 door, as well as a Perfect Flame full door. Lots of folks run gas rigs here. No harm no fowl keep the TBS rolling.

First off welcome to SMF there Brian. You'll really like this place for there are a bunch of really good folks here that would just love to help you with just about anything to do with smoking meat. Then if you have any questions you just post them here or you can try in chat for a faster answer. If you are really new to all of this I would recommend that you look up and take the e-course. It is free and it will also give you the basics on smoking. So with all that said now go and get something to smoke.
