How far away are you from the fire Dave

Not the kind of smoke and fire we like to see. Stay safe.

Check in when you can if you have to bug out.

Right in the middle of about 6-8 fires...... Of course Okanogan County is HUGE..... and I think there is one (1) stoplight in the county... not counting the stop lights on the highway...

Time to grab the bug out bag and go. Some of my friends decided to stay during Tropical Storm Sandy. My clamming buddy George didn't make it and the others said it was the dumbest decision they ever made. Dave, live to smoke another day, thoughts are with you.

Bride said there were "too many to count" fires that started yesterday on the Collville reservation... she counted 18 between us and the Canadian border... South of us was inundated with fires... A thunder storm went through yesterday...

Our rainfall for the year is pathetic..... we are well below average.. really dry... The irrigation district is cutting off our irrigation in a week or so.... they are having a meeting Tuesday...

Dang it!!!! Dave seems like the whole Pacific N.W is on fire we have 4 towns here evacuated also.

Sad to hear of the 3 fallen fire fighters yesterday in the Twisp area,

One smoke I don't like !!!!

DS

Losing lives is a bad deal.... Keep safe over there.......

Yep. My brother-in-law and his family are visiting in Chelan. He says they're okay so far.

Heard on the radio last night that the towns of Conconully, Twisp, and Winthrop were being evacuated. Retreating farmers and ranchers were just opening their gates to give their livestock a chance to make a run for it. Hwy 20 was closed east and west of Winthrop, so people are traveling the backroads to emergency shelters in Brewster.

Dave, don't wait too long.

Ya, Dave.

Also heard south ID and Or. border, one rancher had to shoot 35 or so beef, cause they couldn't make it.

Log it, graze it or let it burn - and it's burning!!!

So sad to hear about the 3 Firefighters yesterday.  RIP.

I heard on the news that some folks in Omak are being evacuated today.

Hope you are safe, Dave. We got rain overnight here in North Bend. Hope some of it makes its way out to you guys (without any lightning).

Thoughts and prayers out to you.

I just saw the "rain cloud" go over our house on the Spokane radar.... we didn't get a drop of water from it... maybe our neighbor did....

These fires have caused the Department of Natural Resources to ask for volunteers. Course my stupid phone will not allow me to post the link.
So far we have been lucky. I am in the very southern tip of Stevens County. Our sky has turned orange again.
