Winds have pretty much died out, at least here in southern Stevens County.... for now. Good portion of the smoke is gone...
Haven't seen much news on the Carpenter Rd fire. 5% contained, have done a lot of work for structure protection.
Hope the District fire chief takes me up on my offer of doing some bbqing for these brave souls that risk their lives for the rest of us.

We are getting the smoke here in Denver. Can't even see the foothills ar all today. Fell bad for yall in the line of fire (pun intended) but glad we don't have the fires this year
We are under some sort of inversion, whatever that is. Fire chief said that is why we are buried in smoke again. They are slowly gaining control on the Carpenter Rd fire
