What happened to OCC and his son's ? Man I have seen the show lately and it is pretty bad ..... What happened to Jr and Mikey ?

As OCC grew, i think their ego's got the best of them, especially Paul Sr. Pauli didn't feel adequately compensated, and probably was tired of working for his dad, and it kind of snowballed from there. Not good, i think the show probably ruined that family.

I would not ever let anything like a show nor money come btw me and my kids . No matter what . Thanks for responding .

Here's what I (google) found:

I only caught the show once in a while...While I sincerely appreciated the mechanical elements and manufacturing process, I could really do without all of the drama and other BS. Unfortunately, without drama, it is just a couple of guys wrenching on a bike, and I can imagine that the ratings for that would be pretty low. Apparently this is their last season...I can't say I'm heartbroken.

Apple doesn't fall far from the tree apparently. It's a cryin' shame what happened to the family. The story went from a feel-good success story to a total tragedy. It sucks, I thought all the drama/arguing/etc was mostly staged for the show, but apparently it was more than that.

I agree I wish that these shows would show everything from strictly the fabrication stand point instead of producers trying to bump ratings by making and editing in drama. It is sad what has happened to them, but if they would just sit down no camera's no work and have a beer together I bet they could work alot of things out.

My take on the show is. Dad hires kids, one son shows up to work and lets other finish his projects, takes credit, results by by vinnie. Dad trys to raine him in but son refuses. Son number 2, ie mikey, negotiates a work contract and then doesn't follow it. Makes good money does nuttin. Made for good tv but family no. Dad hard working, creates a great business, sons lack luster attitude. Sad part is now not much showing of fabrication now.

Poor Mikey just seems lost, Paulie is trying to help him out but Paul Senior is so set thinking that he is 100% right that he won't talk to either of his sons. The smart "other" son kept himself and his family off the show.

I never liked how they vandalized things like their old vehicles and the old shop as soon as they got a little cash in their pockets.

I think Paul Sr. expanded OCC too fast. He built two different brand new shops in about 3 years and bought some awesome but expensive equipment. Then the recession hit and put huge financial stresses on him.

On the program just before he fired Paulie, it was all about him having to lay off some of the newer employees and he mentioned about the loss of revenue and the expansion coming at the wrong time in the economy.

Sitting down to reason things out is not a Trademark of that Family.

OCC Motto ........ Who yells loudest wins.

I never cared much for the show because of the drama. Later on I saw some of their bikes up close and it is a good thing they had a good painter. Even though my opinion of the whole thing is not much I too think it is a shame that it has turned out as it has. Faimly first period. sometimes that means a little tough love with some follow through. I see Paul as the average dad who wants everything for his kids but an extrodinary businessman who makes things happen. his heart was way to big to reign those boys in. The youngest boy was a waste and still is should have been cut off long ago. And Paulie,,,, well there WAS potental there but he is far too good for that now...

Truly disapointing.

That said I like the show now,, they actually show some stuff getting built with less drama.

More victims of reality TV. Lets see The OCC guys aren't talking and have parted company. John and Mary Kate are splitsville, who knows what will happen to their brood, and Boyd Coddington is dead. What a wonderful reality our networks are revealing to us. Lets go watch Pitmasters. Sorry, I have no use for this type of programming.

Paul Jr. broke off and started his own design business in one of the episodes and Mikey went into rehab...

Reality TV is a curse. Look at the crock dude, dead. We had a reality Green Valley Ranch Casino here in my neck of the woods, main figure is dead. Rescent survivor star, dead of breast cancer. JMHO

It's like the Madden Curse! (for those of you who have no idea what i'm talking about, every player who has been on the cover of the Madden video game for like 10 years running has been severely injured the following year)

agree with you 100% there, mule, although i will watch the BBQ pitmasters now and then to see if they have any good ideas ~

bottom line is that we're too busy up here in montana to worry about the drama of "reality" shows ~

Jr. seems to be doing OK. And OCC built a smoker for a Jets tailgater. I didn't stay up to see the final unit. But somehow, I doubt that Dave Klose or Lang pits have anything to worry about. They just rolled a 5'X3' tube of steel before I turned it off. It would have been 5X9.6', and weighed "a couple hundred" pounds. I don't think it was heavier than 1/4". OTOH, would they just make a couple tubes, and hook 'em together, without looking into the prevailing engineering in the industry?
