The wife and I are motorcycling to the U.P. this week for a little vacation. We are staying in Hancock. Any bbq places between Minnesota and there? I Google searched, but most good places aren't on google. A fish-boil sounds good too, but not much came up on that either. Just looking for ideas, we like small mom and pop type places. Thanks.

I don't know about any BBQ places but in the U.P. you NEED to have a pasty. It's the official food of the U.P.

With Braz, skip BBQ on this one, you are in the UP. Score a Pasty and find some good Cudighi sammies in the UP. As for fish boils? You might just want to roll through and when you see a busy place, hit it up. If the locals flock to it..you know it's good right?

Can't say much for Northern WI as I don't know your route and all. Alot of those little places flat out likely don't have websites at all.

We are entering through Superior and riding eastward towards the Keewena peninsula. Depends on the weather what the route will be for sure. Never had a pasty, but I assume they aren't low carb.

...No that they aren't. But now you really need to have them. They're amazing. Sort of like a calzone for lack of comparison. The Welsh version. Full of meat n taters and all that is good in life.

JW’s BBQ in Bergland on hwy 28. We stopped there 2 weeks ago on our motorcycle ride. Everything was very good but Mac & Cheese is not to missed. Beautiful place to ride and great roads

That just may be our lunch stop Thursday, right on the way.
