I never thought I'd be looking at a smoker I had to tow behind my rig, but lately I have been thinking that I may want to have one. Not that I want to do competitions, I just have a fetish for outdoor cooking!! I haven't seen many builders out here on the left coast. This one popped up fairly close, what do you all think? Pretty spendy, but I have no clue how much something like that should cost.

$1,000 less but it'd cost me a $1,000 to get something from the East coast to the West Coast! Would be  fun road trip though!

There are a lot of Lang 84" models out there for less than that.

Here is one I found with a quick nationwide craigslist search but I did not see any in Oregon right now.  For a $2,900 savings it would be worth the drive to get one or or have it shipped to you (you can probably get a great price on U-Ship for a trucker dead heading back your way with a empty or partially loaded trailer and still be ahead of that $6,500 model).  I also think the Lang 84" has greater capacity than the one you posted but it did not list the chamber size.

Looks like a 250 gallon tank.  Looks to be very well built, but does seem a bit pricey at over $6000.  Before I bought it, I would get dimensions on the firebox, looks undersized for a 250 pit, that could just be the pic though.
