just wanted to introduce myself. family man married for 20 years live in texas and started smoking this summer as a new hobby since i sold my boat. hopefully i will learn alot here and become a good smoker.

 First off welcome Pakak to SMF. You'll like it here cause there are alot of really good folks that would just love to help you with anything to do with smoking. Now we like having new folks here to give a new prospective on some of the ways we do things around here. Now if you are really new then I would suggest that you sign up fir the 5-day E-course it free and it will give you the basics on smoking and a few recipes too. Here's a link to it:

then you will have a method to your newly found madness and believe me it will be a madness. Then when you start smoking things you will have to learn how to post the pictures / Qview

Now the next thing you have to do is run out and get something to smoke. Welcome pakak! Glad to have you here! I have a boat and a canoe. I use the canoe far more than the boat and will probably sell the boat. Also have a Suburban with 300,000 plus miles. Hope gas prices go down so I can hit a half million with it.

No boat here, I did have a see-doo tho but sold it since its safer to drink and smoke then it is to drink and boat.

Why didn't I have my fire extinguisher where I could get to it?

My very first smoke had a grease fire that could have been a bad bad deal.
