Newbie from Maine

Newbie smoker from the foothills of western Maine here. I just ordered my first smoker, a MES 40 with Bluetooth. I have always loved to eat bbq but never made it myself so I look forward to learning a lot this summer!

I've been lurking in the forums here for a couple of weeks while deciding what to buy. Based on the recommendations here I went with the MES 40.

The MES arrived this week and is fully assembled. As long as the weather cooperates I plan to season it after work one night this week so I can smoke this weekend. Thinking of starting with some chicken as that's what most people here seem to recommend. Can't wait!
