I have no particular plans at this time may try to do some jerky Santa brought me a jerky gun and some mats to smoke it on. Going to try Bear-carvers loaf as my base mixture for it.

Happy New Years to all. To all whom are dealing with health issues a speedy recovery.

My friend lives on a golf course and we go out and play the par 3 every year around 1:00 AM.... We live in Indiana and there is usually snow on the ground!!! It is pretty fun.

That is why God made orange golf balls.

Ill be smoking here in CT on new years eve. 14 degrees for the high and -3 for the low. Full Carhartt weather which will allow me to wipe the bbq sauce right on the old coveralls. No napkins required.

I think I'm going to do a Turkey dinner for New Years. I am going to smoke a 13# butterball i got at wally world for 98 cents a pound then convert some of the dark meat into turkey pot pie. I will inject with some creole butter and smoke over pecan wood. Some stuffing, mashed potatoes, and cranberry sauce, etc.

Happy Smoking,

LOL---Our usual----Mrs Bear goes to bed at 9 PM.
Bear goes to bed about 10 or 11 PM.

Pork & Sauerkraut on NY Day, and save extra Kraut for Hot Dogs thereafter.

This year Bear has to do the serving.

Yes it is! I got a double bogey last year. I'm looking to improve my chipping while in the green. My friend tried to putt through the snow... it didn't work out so well.

Bear,

Dump in a can of Campbell's tomato soup in to you P&S. It does mellow out the sauerkraut but add a amazing level of flavor. We often have "red sauerkraut" with pork sauerkraut, kielbasas (from Shendoah PA) hotdogs all married together.

I don't think that's legal in a Pennsylvania Dutch area, by us PA Dutch.

Tomato soup is only good for dunking grilled cheese sammies. :D

You best be the waiter or Mrs. Bear will report you to the SPCA.

We've had a New Year's tradition for about 10 years now in which we invite our dear friends (two other couples) for lots of good food, drink, and fireworks. We also stay up until midnight to toast the new year, and to watch town fireworks from our bonfire (we perched the fire pit on a hill and can see far away). Among the food items are pulled pork (smoking as I write) sandwiches, freshly ground tri-tip sliders (best burger in the world), Zuppa Toscana, freshly baked European style bread, a variety of cheeses and meats, and of course plenty of drink. I just made Martha Stewart's eggnog, which is highly addictive, and just as highly inebriating. Of course we make people spend the night - no drinking and driving on my watch. :D

Hey Chrisstef, that back your looks just like mine, besides my Lang trailer mod, I got the same setup 2 weber smokers and a weber kettle.
