Don't need another kettle. Want and need are 2 separate thoughts.

WELL......my sweet wife just said my Father's Day present would arrive on Monday!!
Think I'll keep her another 20yrs!

Keith
Here's my thought on the matters. You both earn a gift on Mother's Day as well as Father's Day
Someone made her a mother and someone made you a father.

I've wanted one for a while so pretty excited and have been looking at accessories. I know a Vortex is a must.
How accurate is the Weber thermo and do I need one?

Damn you Keith!!!!🤬

I just ordered one, and I love the 9 hole dampers, the old kettles used to come that way, many, many yrs ago. I'll give my blk one to the lady next door, she always borrows it anyway, and she's not gonna touch my new-
"Evel Knievel grill".

That way I can always grab it back from her, if I need a second kettle for anything.

Actually, thank you for posting up the link, I really dig it!!!

Can't wait to get it!!!!
(I'm sure my wife will be brag'in on me at work too all the girls).🤣

Had to come home and hide it till Memorial day. LoL
Leave a can of red, white, and blue spray paint, and a roll of blue painters tape on the counter for a few days, then when you pull it out she'll think you painted your old one.:emoji_slot_machine:

Get yourself a couple charcoal baskets to start , and learn it as is . My first Kettle was an 18" with one touch cleanout and the daisy wheel vents . Since that doesn't have the one touch , get yourself a plastic scraper , a paint brush , and a small metal trash can to keep it cleaned out . The plastic won't scratch the bowl . The wheeled vents are great for adjust temps on long cooks .

Mine are accurate . Most say they're not , but I've checked mine against my Signals and they are all spot on .

Look up King Kong covers if you need one .

Seeing this made me curious...where are they made? Can anyone who received theirs see the country of origin on the package? They are pretty cagey about it. Walmart doesn't bother to put country of origin on the website listing and I got this from Weber:

"Thank you for contacting Weber. we appreciate your interest in the Star Spangled Banner edition Weber grills available at Walmart. We are here to help.

Weber grills are designed and engineered in the USA, incorporating globally sourced parts. Individual product packaging displays the country where each grill was manufactured.

Our accessories are designed and engineered in the USA, and many of them are sourced and manufactured outside the USA.

Let us know if you have any further questions."

I'm not in the market for one and the flag paint never made me buy anything. I'm a patriot through and through already. AND I dont hesitate to buy from Amazon (China) and watch YouTube (both considered not exactly patriotic by some) to learn how to fix things, both have saved me thousands of dollars in DIY repairs over the years.

It just made me imagine all the patriotic fervor supplied by China! Then again, it's hard to find much that's not these days. I'll be at Walmart myself here in a few hours, likely buying something made in China! 😬

Ken,

This was all I could find in the box.

Yep, they really dont want to talk about it, especially these days! The Weber Spirit I bought boasted made in the U.S.A. I wish we still made more stuff in America. I'm no environmental nut, but the landfills ARE full of cheap disposable stuff. My wife has contributed plenty, mostly in dumbarse solar lighting that ALWAYS dies quickly and other "garden decorations" that have to be replaced every season. My parents, who actually fly a large American flag are the same way...its like a gypsy encampment over there (next door). Cheap plastic crap everywhere.
I keep my Chinesium detector in the same cabinet as the COVID swabs. Both made in China and guaranteed to provide a positive result! 🙄
For the guys that grabbed one , make sure you go to Weber and get them registered .
This is good advice for most things. I'm trying to get a warranty replacement right now on a beard groomer kit that died 3 days before 1 year of use. Has a 2 year warranty. The hoops I'm having to jump through, the pictures they want, the slow walking...refer to the cheap Chinese crap filling the landfills I mentioned above...

A couple lid vent markings .
2006 Performer . Made in the U.S.A. Most or " almost all " parts were sourced in the United States , and also assembled here .

2021 Mastertouch . Designed and engineered in USA
Most or all parts sourced out of the country , also assembled outside of the
United States . No periods on the " USA " stamping .

Darn you Keith! Going to have to rein you in here soon… or start calling you Steve H Steve H Jr. 🤷🏼‍♂️😂

Ordered 2… One for me and one for a friend that has been dealing with some life struggles and this might brighten his day when I take it to him.

I remember back in the day when it was the "cheap Japanese stuff" thing (now Japanese means "quality" usually). They would often have "made in USA" stamped on it...Usa Japan! Yep, its a place...

I read an article yesterday that claimed China was using "country of origin" masking to avoid tariffs 🙄
