Don't need another kettle. Want and need are 2 separate thoughts.

WELL......my sweet wife just said my Father's Day present would arrive on Monday!!
Think I'll keep her another 20yrs!

Keith
Here's my thought on the matters. You both earn a gift on Mother's Day as well as Father's Day
Someone made her a mother and someone made you a father.

I've wanted one for a while so pretty excited and have been looking at accessories. I know a Vortex is a must.
How accurate is the Weber thermo and do I need one?

Damn you Keith!!!!🤬

I just ordered one, and I love the 9 hole dampers, the old kettles used to come that way, many, many yrs ago. I'll give my blk one to the lady next door, she always borrows it anyway, and she's not gonna touch my new-
"Evel Knievel grill".

That way I can always grab it back from her, if I need a second kettle for anything.

Actually, thank you for posting up the link, I really dig it!!!

Can't wait to get it!!!!
(I'm sure my wife will be brag'in on me at work too all the girls).🤣

Had to come home and hide it till Memorial day. LoL
Leave a can of red, white, and blue spray paint, and a roll of blue painters tape on the counter for a few days, then when you pull it out she'll think you painted your old one.:emoji_slot_machine:

Get yourself a couple charcoal baskets to start , and learn it as is . My first Kettle was an 18" with one touch cleanout and the daisy wheel vents . Since that doesn't have the one touch , get yourself a plastic scraper , a paint brush , and a small metal trash can to keep it cleaned out . The plastic won't scratch the bowl . The wheeled vents are great for adjust temps on long cooks .

Mine are accurate . Most say they're not , but I've checked mine against my Signals and they are all spot on .

Look up King Kong covers if you need one .

Seeing this made me curious...where are they made? Can anyone who received theirs see the country of origin on the package? They are pretty cagey about it. Walmart doesn't bother to put country of origin on the website listing and I got this from Weber:

"Thank you for contacting Weber. we appreciate your interest in the Star Spangled Banner edition Weber grills available at Walmart. We are here to help.

Weber grills are designed and engineered in the USA, incorporating globally sourced parts. Individual product packaging displays the country where each grill was manufactured.

Our accessories are designed and engineered in the USA, and many of them are sourced and manufactured outside the USA.

Let us know if you have any further questions."

I'm not in the market for one and the flag paint never made me buy anything. I'm a patriot through and through already. AND I dont hesitate to buy from Amazon (China) and watch YouTube (both considered not exactly patriotic by some) to learn how to fix things, both have saved me thousands of dollars in DIY repairs over the years.

It just made me imagine all the patriotic fervor supplied by China! Then again, it's hard to find much that's not these days. I'll be at Walmart myself here in a few hours, likely buying something made in China! 😬
