New to the Smoking Meat Forums

  1. Just signed up, though I've been smoking for years. I live in Walkersville, MD and am a KCBS certified judge, but haven't gotten into the competition so much. I just like doing good Q and a few annual pork bbq fund raisers. My herd includes small and large Weber kettles, Chargriller Smokin Outlaw with offset fire box, Chargriller Akorn and a good old fashioned cinder block bbq pit. Looking forward to continuing my bbq journey here!

    ST-Welcome to SMF;  with that herd you've got, you'll fit in just fine.  Plan on being bombarded with questions from folks who want to get into competition BBQ-they will want to know what you judges look for on turn in boxes and all the other stuff that goes along with it.

    Welcome to the Smoking  forum.   You’ll find great , friendly people here, all more than willing to answer any question you may have.  Just ask and you’ll get about 10 different answers—all right.  LOL.   Don’t forget to post qviews.

  5. Glad you joined the group. The search bar at the top of any page is your best friend.
    About anything you wanna know about smoking/grilling/curing/brining/cutting or slicing
    and the list goes on has probably been posted. Remember to post a QVIEW of your smokes.
    We are all smoke junkies here and we have to get our fix. If you have questions
    Post it and you will probably get 10 replies with 11 different answers. That is
    because their are so many different ways to make great Q...
