My name is Dana. Born and raised in Houston, Texas. Klose BBQ Pits has been my home for the last 8 years and I have learned so much and made so many friends around the world it is a little surreal. David is my brother, 20 years my elder, and working with him is a ______. I am not sure what that word would be right now and it is safe to say it changes daily. I have a college student graduating from Culinary School this year and it doesn't seem possible that I am old enough for that.
So, to say that we cook a lot would be an understatement, at work, at home, maybe even in my sleep. I started cooking around age 5 with the help of my grandmother and have been taught by some of the greats throughout my life such as Paul Kirk, Lola & James Rice, Texas Rib Rangers, Guy Fieri, and many others. Spending the day with Anthony Bourdain, Steven Reichlan, Myron Mixon and Michael Symon is on my bucket list but not necessarily in that order. I would love to be a guest on "The Chew" just for a day. I love to see the hosts interact with one another, funny stuff! I digress, but that tells you a little about me!
