A corn field in Ohio
For years I have wanted to get into smoking. Growing up in Indiana smoking was reserved for camels not meat. After living in Texas, Louisiana, NC, and now for good in Ohio I wanted to bring some flavor of smoked meat with me.

I recently got a pellet grill for stupid cheep and the results are great. Using the pellet has me committed to get into real smoker. I am starting to compile parts from scrap piles to fab up my own smoker, any and all design and fabrication pictures would be much appreciated.

Once you decide on a particular type of smoker post your ideas, pics and questions on a build thread. You will get lots of help from some great folks with lots of knowledge.

I too cheat with a pellet grill/smoker but I have other devices and always looking for another. Nothing beats cooking with sticks IMO. They're are a lot of great cooks who hang out here.

Welcome to the site, happy you joined the fun
