New to smoking

My name is Scot.  I live in Lehi, Utah.   I have 7 children and 12 grandchildren and we love to have BBQ family get togethers. I work out (play a lot of basketball) so I can eat and not get overweight.

I just got a Traeger Pellet grill a few weeks ago.  I have smoked a few things and had mixed results.  I am anxious to learn and get better.  Thanks to whoever set this up.   I looked through a few of the posts and it looks very helpful.

I see having big families is perhaps a norm near you. Since the city population has more than doubled in the past 15 years.
