New to smoking

  1. Greeatings. I live in Michigan, Flint area. I just bought my weber smokey mountain 18.5" and am very excited to start using it. I'm fairly proficient with the charcoal grill so I think this should go well for me. I'm mostly interested in smoking pork, poultry, and fish, but I might get into brisket and other things as well. Not sure yet! I make pretty mean pulled pork so I'm thinking that doing it on a smoker will really take it to the next level.

  5. Haha, sounds good PG. I'll try to remember that! I'm smoking tomorrow all day, so I'll make sure to snap a few pics. My wife is going to the farm to get meat as we speak.

One question, is there a good mobile app for this site?

  6. When you bring up the site on a mobile device, there's a button at the bottom to switch between mobile and desktop. Welcome aboard. Always more room for another WSM!

  7. Thanks, Bama. Is that a custom made mini WSM from a smokey joe in your pic? Love it!

  8. It is. I gave it to my son along with some different smoke woods to get him started. He loves it.
