I'm Kevin, from Colorado. I have a Masterbuilt 30" electric smokehouse, and I can't wait to try my hand at smoking everything I possibly can! If you have any "things that newbies always miss" that you can share, I'll gladly take any and all of that advice! Thanks for having me.

Kevin, welcome to SMF!  Glad you are here and filled with enthusiasm about using your smoker.  For newbie smokes, you can't miss with sausages or chicken thighs.  Then it's time to move on to a pork butt, ribs, or brined white meat poultry, all pretty simple.

Have fun!

Kevin,

Welcome to SMF from North Texas.

Couple recommendations:

- If you have a bad cook, learn from it

- More is not always better when it comes to smoke

- Start a log book, make notes about what all you did, it will be a great reference guide.

- Develop your own style and cook it the way you like it, don't be afraid to try it a different way.

- Pretty much out there can be smoked and barbecued.

#1 Have fun

Smoke ON!
