Hi All,

Been trolling the site for the past few months gathering some great ideas from members and finally registered. Bought a masterbuilt elec digital smokehouse last Spring, but since we were in the middle of a move, wife said "Don't bring that to the house" so it spent 4 months in storage, upon which I was too busy to try it out as I coach HS football and was working on some renovations.

Anyway, broke it out in late November, and can't believe I didn't get a smoker earlier. Before, I had "smoked" some pork loin and wild turkey breast on my gas grill with some indirect heat, but just wasn't real pleased.

Since breaking out the smoker, I've done pork loin, whole turkey breast, and several goose breasts. Once the weather starts to warm here in Illinois I plan to experiment with several recipes that I've found on here and the weekly newsletter that I receive.

NOTHING LIKE SMOKED MEAT!

bcrisco,
Welcome, from southern Ohio, to the best forum on the internet if you are looking to learn how to BBQ/smoke/brine/cure/inject. Well you get the picture if you can do it to something you put on a plate to eat then someone here has probably done it then smoked it.

Use the search bar at the top of the page and you will be led to the answer to most every question you can think of. If you don't find the answer there then just post it and someone will chime in with their opinion on the subject.

Always remember the only dumb question is the one you don’t ask!!
Keep Smokin!!!
