Hello all FELLOW SMOKERS!!! Just got MEB electric smoker from my wife as a Christmas present. Tentatively did a 8 lb brisket for my first attempt. OMG!! I think I gained 5 lbs in one day. Can't wait to talk with some of you experts and get ideas. Trying baby back ribs for my parents tomorrow. Wish me luck!!

First off welcome to SMF. You'll really like this place for there are a bunch of really good folks here that would just love to help you with just about anything to do with smoking meat. Then if you have any questions you just post them here or yu can try in chat for a faster answer. If you are really new to all of this I would recommend that you look up and take the e-course. It is free and it will also give you the basics on smoking. So with all that said now go and get something to smoke.

Thanks everyone for the nice welcome. Got ribs on as I type. Goin for the 2-2-1 method. I've got crossed fingers cuz I got hungry football fans on the way. Can anyone tell me if the Dadgum cookbook by John McLemore is a good purchase? Had a flyer on it in the MBE box.
