Hey y'all,
I'm new to smoking. Just bought a masterbuilt digital smoker for my first smoker. Looking forward to smoking up some meats and cheeses, and getting some good tips and tricks from everyone here.

A little about me, I'm an Army veteran and am currently a diesel mechanic at a Kenworth/ Volvo dealership in NW Arkansas. A proud dad of a 9 y/o daughter. Looking forward to meeting you all.

Thanks in advance for help, and tips.

Grate to meat ya! ;)

I'm am pretty new to smoking, but happy to help any way I can. This can be fun to do with your little girl. I had my daughter mixing up and tasting sauces and rubs with me, and she loves the ribs! She's 15 and more into her phone than smoking...lol... but a 9 year old might have some fun helping!

And, thank you for your service!

Welcome to SMF from Indiana! Thank you for your service to this country! I’m a proud dad to three little boys. They are 1,2, and 4, so still a bit young to help. I’m looking forward to any of them taking interest in smoking Q with me someday, but they do enjoy eating it lol so that’s a plus. Welcome aboard.

Welcome to the wonderful world of smoking. If I may be so bold as to suggest you purchase Jeff's Rub Recipes. They are not only simple but taste great. When you get creative they are easily modified. They also support this forum. I am no way associated with him other than the use of this forum. On another note this is a great place to just hang out and learn how to jerk your chicken rub your butt and pull your pork without offending anyone!

Welcome to the forum, and thank you for your service.
