Choose between these, please come with pros and cons.
Smoke is prio one, it will also sear sometimes. Living in Northern Europe and will use ur all year round even in cold weather.

- Louisiana Grills Founders Premier 800, $1200
- Traeger Grills Ironwood 885, $1700

Or should I go pit boss? Or another models in these brands?

Welcome, according to your price range you are looking at, I would take a close peek at this line of smokers.

Tough call.To be honest I would with which ever one has the better warranty and even more importantly the better customer service in your region.

Anyways welcome to SMF from Rhode Island USA!

Thanks for the welcome :)
Sorry but do not have rectec over here. But they looks good.
Probably will go for Louisiana but do not find any review of this smoker.

If I'm going to spend that kind of money (and they ship to you) I would go with RecTeq. They have a variety of smokers to choose from and their customer service is unmatched.

Rec Teq Delivers all their grills. I highly recommend them. Had mine for bout a decade with zero issues! Solid and reliable!

Given only those 2 choices because of location, it seems Louisiana has a few extra benefits. Higher max temp, sear station and PID controller. And it $500 cheaper.

I have a Traeger Ironwood 650. Zero issues with the Traeger Grill. I remember having an app issue a while back, called TRAEGER and got an actual guy on about the 3rd ring. I didn’t even have to jump through 7 menus to get him. He walked me through the issue and I haven’t had a single one since.I was worried when I bought a TRAEGER because I believe that quality can be degraded during expansions and massive growth. I don‘t have any experience with the other brand so I can’t give you an informed opinion.

Personally i would avoid the Louisiana/Pit Boss. One bought the other so they now essentially are the same. Ive owned a Louisiana 590 and a Pit Boss Copperhead 5. The Louisiana had a feature which seemed nice but was more of a problem. Whenever you started it, it went into sanitize mode, which would heat it to 400 on startup then drop to the temp you wanted for smoking. Keep in mind this was technology from 2013, so temp is set at 225 but the temps are coming down from 400. No feed to the fire pot for over an hour = no fire then it starts pumping pellets into a dead firepot. Restart is a bonfire. Just my experiences with them. Also FWIW its the only smoker i ever experienced burn back through the auger.

Hmmm it’s not possible to by rectec in Sweden 😞
I also have a gift card to use so need to buy any of these on the link.

If they don't have Rec Tec in your neck of the woods, is Weber available? Quality name and I believe there is a few on here that are happy owners.

That would be my choice.Webers are available in several Euro countries and have outstanding CS and support.

I know Rich aka chopsaw chopsaw loves his and my buddy down the road just got an EX6 and loves it also.
