Hi,
I just wanted to say hi to everyone here on this forum. I have just recently picked an offset smoker. I am very new to smoking and learning as I go. I have smoked a pork loin and beef tri tip with decent results but I really had no idea what I was actually doing. Lol. I have been using pecan wood because I can get it very cheap from a local firewood seller here. I'll post uo photos of my set up later.

Hello and good morning from beautiful and cooler  East Texas, welcome to the forum. Lots of great information and real good people here.

Let us know how it does keep pic's coming

I can't remember how long I had them on the smoker but the pork came out perfect but the beef was over cooked. I didn't realize that tri tip should be on the medium doneness.

I mixed up 3 different kinds of beans with BBQ sauce and billbo rub then smoked them. I think it was white beans, pinto beans, and black beans.
