New Smoker from Frisco, TX

Hey,

So I have friends that I join several times a year at smoking competitions around Dallas/Fort Worth. I have always been support staff. Cleaning up, keeping the fire going etc... I finally decided I wanted to give it a shot myself and picked up a used smoker to start. 

I have read the Smoking Basics eCourse, which is an awesome starting point. I plan on trying some chicken and ribs this weekend.

My entire family is really into hunting and I am looking forward to smoking some wild hog!

If I find am halfway skilled at this I plan on taking the smoker in the photo to deer camp and buying a smaller electric one like the Smoke-in It for home.
