Just picked up a new CharGriller on Monday, put it together and seasoned yesterday.

The "Competition Pro" has thicker steel than my older "Smokin Pro", better for heat retention. Used both charcoal and wood for the first burn, very little smoke leakage which made me happy. I need to make a charcoal basket and buy a couple of therms for more accurate temps at grate level.

Congrats, enjoy! Looks like you already have an offset so the learning curve will be short.
Getting my Cabinet smoker delivered today.

Got 2 new therms installed at grate level, much to my surprise all 3 were within 10° of each other. That's a very good sign.
