I'm a construction worker in Seattle WA. On a budget so I've been using a Brinkman electric smoker for years. Turns out, impossible to find a new element for it that cost less than a new smoker. I ended up switching to a Master Forge 2 door gas smoker. Going to use my Thirsty Bird rub on some chicken and try it out tonight. Also some pork shanks and red potatoes.

New smoker worked great! Chicken and pork turned out excellent. Potatoes took a bit longer. Next time, I'll put them on a lower rack.

I've never been able to nail smoking a salmon properly. Any good recipes?
