My name is Mark. I live in Dayton OH USA. Just bought a Masterbuilt 30" electric smoker. Older black model no window or stainless My first attempt with chicken I smoked the maverick sending unit with the meat. Did not realize that just the probes go inside the smoker. Duh! A friend suggested this forum as an excellent source of help to a novice. I am smoking a turkey breast for Thanksgiving. So I am checking brine recipes, rub recipes, and trying to determine temperature and estimate of cook time for a alb breast still attached to the bone. Looking forward to enjoying smoked food by using information on this forum.
