I've learned so much on this forum, I figured I should join. I'm Bret from Michigan. I first ran a smoker as a teenager in the mid 90's. Little round Brinkman charcoal making venison jerky.
Fast forward to 3 summers ago when I picked up a side stick burner from the side of the road, this has become a huge hobby!

I used cherry wood and my own rub for the ribs and pecan wood for the brisket and I can't think of the name of the rub. It's a guy from Michigan that makes the brisket rub.

Had a buddy wanting 4 slabs. I did 6. This was my slab I took off to check if done. It tasted great. Not trying to brag or be "that guy" but I'm making money on ribs now. I want to try a small completion or two in mid Michigan this summer. Any help on where to find them?
