What a great find this forum is! I'm about to but my first smoker, been doing a lot of research. I've never had one before but I used to do some smoking with my dad when I was younger. I'm leaning to the Brinkmann Trailmaster, I see it gets lots of good reviews. I live in Stockbridge, GA about 30 mins south of Atlanta.

Welcome to the group!  You'll find that this is a great place to share ideas on smoking, grilling, etc.  There are plenty of folks here who genuinely enjoy helping one another.  Looking forward to your input, and just ask when you need anything...someone here will surely have the answer.

This is a great place to come when you start smoking. I only started smoking last year and this forum has helped so much. There is a lot of information in the posts and the members are generous with their experience.

I look forward to your posts.

  5. Hi I'm new on here, but have been cold smoking for a while.

I use one of these and am really pleased with the results. It's dead simple and if you chop up your own timber for it it saves on buying pellets or whatever. I had mine connected to a 45 gal drum, but have just set up an old fridge freezer wi the guts hauled out and it's working a treat. Simple and cheap.
