I used to live in OH, now FL, and I can tell you if you want to smoke year round in OH you are going to need to build a little structure to house your smoker and keep it out of the wind. It doesnt have to be fancy. You could just dry stack some concrete cinder blocks around the smoker. This will help you regulate your temp better, and use less fuel.
