Tis is my first time here at the site. I stumbled onto it looking for advice on what would be the best dependable wireless Wi-Fi multi probe meat thermometers. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
At the present time they will be used for a gas grill. However, I am also looking for advice on a new smoker. I have had a few in the past but am considering a pellet smoker and either gas or electric. I have never had electric so am very much needing advice from people that have had the electric.
Need to know what brands are considered good and if electric is okay for a weekend warrior or stay away from it.
My wife cannot eat red meat (digestive reasons, but I do and the grandkids do) so because of that we cook a tremendous amount of poultry and Salmon.
I sneak the meat in a couple times a week.
Glad I found the website and look forward to any advice.

Howdy Ted, welcome to the group from New Mexico.
I have not owned one myself, so can't make any recommendation.
However, if you plan on using one in a gas grill, definitely check the max temp it can be used at.
Gas grills can get pretty hot, depending on what you are cooking...

Thanks for the replies.
jcam222: I would prefer to stay around $150 to $275 on the wireless setup.
From &750 to maybe a max of $1,500 on the smoker.
I'm mentioning numbers I can afford not knowing the cost of a dependable unit.
Maybe stretch if something really looked great and my wife did not know what I spent.😎
My first priority is the wireless thermometer with multiple probes to start using with the gas grill.
We grill chicken and turkey 6 days a week. one or two of those days I throw in meat for me. Due to borderline Kidney problems I am supposed to hold red meat to one or two times a week.
We cook Salmon one or two days a week which we both eat.
I would like probes that can be used in the smoker when I purchase that.
Hope that helps,
Ted

Welcome to SMF glad you joined us. I was over your way a couple weeks ago for a few days. Mayo
I haven't kept up with which thermometers are the best now days. There are lots of options for smokers and smoked chicken is pretty good too

Welcome to your new addiction (The forums)...

first time here at the site. I stumbled onto it looking for advice

As you will find out when you search (box in top right corner) the forums. You'll find a number of different opinions on what's best... But they are all freindly, willing, And like to share their knowledge...

So just start reading and searching (and ask) and you will find a lot of answers to your questions...
You will find that when questions are asked/placed in the right sub-forum (ie. equipment, recipe, type of meat, whatever)... They have a better chance at getting noticed from somebody very knowlodgable in that particular sub forum... Hope that made sense...

Welcome from Virginia! I have one WIFI thermometer from ThermoWorks. Its a Smoke 2 channel. I have zero complaints, but look around and see what matches your needs.

Welcome from Kentucky!

I use mostly Inkbird therms and find them reliable and accurate enough to suit my needs. They are a site sponsor and run pretty good sales regularly.

Appreciate all the replies. If Inkbird is a sponsor I will check them out.
I can see by the brand of smokers, there seems to be a huge number to choose from. That will give me a lot of research time.
Thanks

Welcome from MN for the summer. We spend our winters in central Florida.
I looked at Inkbird for a long time. Finally dropped my coin on Thermoworks Signals 4 probe with incorporated WiFi and Bluetooth. I am very impressed with this unit. The phone app has top quality monitoring including temperature alerts and graphing of the cook temps.
I have a pellet grill comparable to a Traeger or Pitboss entry level unit. It is not a grill. I use a Weber for grilling. I'll use the pellet grill for smoking but with a smoke tube.
What is your plan for a dedicated smoker?

Fueling Around, my plans for a dedicated smoker is to ask questions and read past post to try and decide. I do not have a particular one in mind.
I think I'll do what JckDanls 07 recommended. I'll make a post in the equipment sub forum and start with the thermometer.
Any advice on my post over there on either subject would be appreciated.
Ted

Welcome from Iowa!
I use probes from Thermoworks and Inkbird, but I like The Smoke from Thermoworks the best... have a 2 probe and recently the 4 probe.

Also, if you want to respond to someone and want them to be tagged use the @ sign in front of their name, no spaces. It shows up like TedT TedT

Welcome to SMF from SE GA!
I use the Inkbird and ThermoPro. I have used the TP for 4 yrs and I prefer the separate remote vs wifi. I have 3 of these and wouldn't want to do a long cook without them.

Thanks for the replies and advice from everyone.

jaxgatorz jaxgatorz I grew up in Jacksonville and moved to the beach after getting married. Spent most my life on the westside. Back when Blanding Blvd in Orange Park was a 2 lane road and the Mall was not built.

Sounds like you are old, like me. 😎 Not only was it a 2 lane road, but the only reason to use the road was to get alcohol on Sundays .
