I have not looked at these nor done any pricing.Where does it stand on the totem pole.? Any experience with it or anything close to it ? The price is right but is it the direction to go? It is the last piece to complete my set up ,again Have not had time to look into these units. Thanks

I just tried ordering 6 quart canisters, they don't have them!
Tried to order 4 quart canisters, they are in stock but they can't process the order for them!
They will not honor the (25 percent off) offer from today on any of the products that they are having problems placing orders on due to "their" computer problems. In talking to a supervisor (Patty) she was very rude and didn't seem to care one bit about the customers. I hung up!!!
Being aggravated I called back and got the same guy I talked to originally (Glenn) and explained to him how I was treated by his supervisor, he asked me what he could do to make things better. He was very nice and I asked to talk to someone higher up than this supervisor Patty, as I was very displeased with her conduct towards a customer. He said he would see what he could do. After a few minutes wait, he returned and said he had talked with another supervisor (Justin) and after Glenn explained what had happened, Justin asked if they gave me the 25 percent off when their computers were corrected if that was ok. I said absolutely, that's all I wanted to begin with. So everything seems to be ok now, except that Patty. It amazes me being a business owner myself how people like Patty get jobs dealing with customers and being a supervisor yet, keep their jobs. Their job is to keep customers happy and spreading the companies good business practices/customer relations. If someone working for me ever treated a customer like that the door wouldn't have time to hit them in the azzzzz!!! They'd be fired immediately!!!

I have had one for years and just sold it to my neighbor after buying an upgraded model. It still worked great!!!
Regardless of my previous rant they are good units and worth the money paid for them. I've never had a problem with mine and it has saved me lots off money on food that would other wise have been thrown out.
My advice is "go for it"....

Does anyone have any feedback / experience with the new upright style model? (I have used clam shell style with great results.)

Got a V3825 (same as V3840) from Costco about a month ago. Tried using it Saturday and after a few bags it stopped sucking. Tried cleaning it out but no good. Went back to Costco and got it exchanged now all is good again. Costco will take back items forever except for large electronics.

So I started digging on the net, for a Food Saver.V3840 / V3860.For a price diff of $60. Which one to get is the question. Any input ??
