After much research decided to add some modifications which works on most offset sytles.

Ok file is two big to attach..

Bacic was I extended the stack to rack level. Added a flash guard to defelect heat and smoke lower into the grill section. This cost me $5.00 for the material and $10 for the tin snips.

Next step I added a thermonitor at rack height. Never would have guessed running about 100-125 differance less from the top to rack. Cost $8.

Better yet, what New Braunfels model?

I have a Bandera.

Is that what you got? If so, I got some good advice, mod wise

BJ's original post gives me the impression that it is a horizontal offset instead of the Bandera like we have (I extended the stack to rack level).
