Need a new smoker - no AC

Does anyone have any experience with propane smokers? I want to put a smoker on a houseboat with no electric power. I would really like a thermostat controlled unit that did not require tending a firebox. I don’t think a straight up stick burner will work for me on the boat given the amount of attention required. My preference is to smoke everything at about 220 for a long time. I have a Weber propane grill for grilling. I am open to the fact that there will be quality concessions associated with my situation. Any opinions and or input is appreciated.
