Time for a new smoker

Based on your comment of doing cooking for 50 or more you might look at the Mammoth vertical smoker by Grilla Grills.
I haven't heard much about the Grilla Mammoth. Do you have any experience with it? I like the idea of a vertical for space savings, but it's not something that is on my priority list at the moment. I really want something that will last (longevity is a major factor in this purchase). Something that holds temps well. As well as something that is reasonable when it comes to maintaining it.

HI!
Grilla Grills:
I recently bought the smaller Chimp. Had the upper shelf.
IMO: They are a quality built grill.
Why?
SS grates ,SS Drip pan
SS Burner pot.
Double walled unit, Holds the HEAT!
Wifi PID: Has a few adjustments for Auger Adj, RTD
Comes with Probes.
Hopper holds a decent amount for long smokes, overnights should not be an issue.
In no way its a beginner cheap unit. its not a peice of junk.

FYI: I am being told that pellet grills need replacement parts as they are used and aged due to weather.
No Matter how much $ spent?
Even the high end needs replacement parts?

FYI: BBQ LABS has reviews on Grilla Grills, also discount codes.
Hope that helps you !

Not sure what yur goal is ?
To feed 50+.
Quality to what level?
Again even the high enders have issues?
YUR choice!
Good luck in yur search.

Interesting, my MAK has been a tank for many many years without the need to replace any parts. I'm sure there are other pellet smokers with similar longevity. No doubt there are some that do not fare as well.

I do not have experience with the Mammoth but have owned a Grilla Grill pellet smoker for 8 years. I won’t repeat the features the other person posted but add that the Mammoth is only $1,000 and has the ability to add wood chips on the fire pot. Many great reviews online. Grilla is built with all stainless steel and double wall construction. As good as any Recteq. Great customer service at least when privately owned, i can’t soeak for the new company as i have not had a reason to use customer servece as the Chimp just runs, no issues. Their controller has some features no others have like ability to set in PID or PRO mode and a flametamer mode that compensates pellet feed when opening door to minimize temperature swings.

used Yoder YS640
Damn. Wrong end of the country. There is one near me in Oregon for sale, $1800, like new. Those look like really nice smokers.
