I broke out the 30lb stuffer the 50lb mixer and the new smoke house this weekend to make 75lbs of sausage for a buddy , maiden voyage for the stuffer and the new smoke house

……. I have to say I was impressed with the mixer
, I had my son turning the handle
, so I loved it
!! He was not pleased though

My issue is the stuffer
, it took everything I had to turn the handle
…..At first, I thought about using a cheater pipe
…..LOL….but I know it shouldn't be that hard to move the handle
…. We stuffed less than 5ft, when I decided to pulled the meat out and remixed it adding a quart of water to the mix
. The mix was a lot softer, but it still took more effort that I thought it should to move the handle
…….. I have a 11lb stuffer and have never experienced anything like this with it...... If anyone else has a 30lber, do you have this problem with yours ? I was going to add more water, but I didn’t want to create a soup either…..any thoughts??
My son said the he read reviews on the larger stuffers like these and it said that they say that you should only use them for making summer sausage or something large with them….. I really think that’s hard to believe…… So I'm looking for someone that may have some experience with one..... Any advice will be greatly appreciated
