Man that was a great game! I didn't really have a dog in the fight, but I usually like rooting for the underdog. The Badgers really played well...they deserved the "W"!

Good thing the Badgers didn't play last night: combine the win with St. Patty's, and there wouldn't have been enough jail cells in the entire state to hold all the DWI pickups!

Nope, I feel fine.

The bracket pool where I picked Villanova as overall winner is a "Social" pool with 200-300 participants. That bracket has gone to the trash.

The pool I'm in where I picked North Carolina is a "Money" pool limited to 35 participants with weighted points given for each win as the tournament progresses, and I'm still in decent shape there. For round 1, I picked 29 of the 32 winners, yesterday it was 5 out of 8, so I now stand at 34 out of 40. I was the pool leader after round 1, but I won't have the updated standings until today's games are over.

So, I'll be watching, intently.

Random tourney news nuggets:

1.  South region is the only one with the first 4 seeds advancing.

2.  Conference breakdowns:  Pac 12--3, Big 10--3, Big 12--3, SEC--3, Big East--2, WCC--1, ACC--1.  Didn't think anyone saw the ACC having the same number left as the WCC.

3.  Listening to a Bob Huggins' interview is NCAA's version of Gregg Popovich.  Love it.

4.  If Baylor and Oregon somehow meet in the final, sunglasses will be required to watch both of those color schemes at the same time.

5.  Doesn't get old watching the winning locker room water tossing.

6.  Thursday can't get here soon enough....

And then there were 8. As good as Thursday's games were, Friday's were largely duds--with the FL/WI game excepting. So we won't go blind watching a Baylor/Oregon final, do get to watch Frank Martin's emotions and facial expressions at least once more, and (thank goodness) don't have to hear/see the Ball kid's idiot dad anymore. What a gravy trainer....

I thought my wildcats/ucla game was a great game and even better cuz UK won. I'm anxiously awaiting tomorrow's game with North Carolina. We snagged a 103-100 win over them a few months ago, with monk scoring 47 points. Hopefully history will repeat...

From a UK perspective, it was outstanding.  And from thinking about Old Man Ball getting a big 'ol heaping dose of "shut the hell up", it was also outstanding.  From an actual game perspective, not so much. 

Be careful for what you ask:  UNC 23, UK 15 all-time.  Ol' Roy won't roll over:  discipline in this one will be key, and UNC has that advantage imho.
